Hitachi TRK-8155

The TRK-8155 was a 1979 model year boombox from Hitachi. It presents a very classy appearance with its intricate chrome speaker grills, orange labels, and gunmetal green trim plate around the VU meters. Its dimensions are 455mm wide, 276mm tall, and 167mm deep. Inside, it has 12cm/3.2 ohm woofers, and 5cm/8 ohm tweeters. It has two TBA810SH amplifier chips, just like the Sharp GF9191 and GF9494. But since this model is only 9 volts, it will not make as much power as those 15-volt Sharps do. But it still sounds nice, punchy, clear, and natural.

There were 3 model variations:
TRK-8155E single voltage model (220V if sold in the EU, or 240V in the UK), 4-band tuner with FM/SW/MW/LW.
TRK-8155W multi-voltage selector (100/120/220/240), 4-band tuner with FM/SW1/SW2/MW.
TRK-8155EW multi-voltage selector (100/120/220/240), 4-band tuner with FM/SW/MW/LW.
